so it's been an interesting few weeks. i've been working a lot, hanging out here and there. last weekend was particularly eventful...friday night i made a stop in roscoe, saturday i went to visit my bff's new apartment which is, omg, so adorable and i love it, and then sunday was pretty low key but i got to be domestic for a while and that's always fun.

being in chicago again was so wonderful. it had been getting close to two months since the last time i'd visited, so i was long overdue. and it was perfect, the weather was perfect; we stood in the lake with the water washing over our legs, the rolled-up hems of our jeans, wrapped up in the wind. we sat on the beach, soaking in the sunshine, talking about nothing and everything, life as we know it. i was sad to leave, but i'm sure i'll be back soon.

this morning there was a raid at my townhouse complex. i'm not sure what they had or what they got busted for. it was pretty intense, though, complete with five or six squad cars, the swat team, drug dogs, and arrests. when i left for work all of the cop cars were gone, but the swat team was removing stuff from the townhouse and putting it into their van. i have my assumptions of what it might be, but of course i can't be sure. i suppose i will find out at some point.
